In January, we took up the topic of genocide: from covering historic events to those happening right now. Posted on Instagram, we educated and informed our community about several genocides of the past and today. These included the Rwanda genocide in 1994, the Sri Lankan-Tamil genocides since 1948, and the ongoing genocide happening in Palestine.

In support of the CCVT (Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture),  a community-based organization that helps victims of torture, war, genocide and crimes against humanity, we also hosted a bake sale at Earl of March Secondary School where we are proud to say that we have raised over 100 dollars.
